This strand will focus on the how to effectively engage both family and community partners in your MTSS work. LEAs at the introductory or advanced stage will benefit from the discussions around this important domain in the CA MTSS framework.
Trusting Family Partnerships extend beyond traditional parent involvement activities. Schools and families maintain effective, two-way communication, collaborate on meaningful projects and activities, and share in important decision-making responsibilities, such as in school leadership roles.
Trusting Community Partnerships contribute to positive student outcomes when schools work collaboratively with community members, agencies, organizations, businesses and industry around common goals. Community representatives directly participate in school leadership and activities, and schools leverage a variety of community resources to meet the needs of their students and families.
