The National TA Center on PBIS defines PBIS as “a framework or approach for assisting school personnel in adopting and organizing evidence-based behavioral interventions into an integrated continuum that enhances academic and social behavior outcomes for all students.” This presentation will outline the key elements of this approach, key features of Tier I PBIS, and review PBIS fidelity and outcome data systems. The PBIS practices of defining, teaching, reinforcing, and responding will be reviewed. Examples and systems tools will be provided.
