This presentation will highlight the potential for continuous improvement through an alignment of the LCAP to the MTSS All/Some/Few framework. Instead of writing an LCAP that includes MTSS, a district should be creating an MTSS-aligned LCAP that draws on site-level data and implementation while setting overarching goals for the LEA. Our presentation will focus on how to put this theoretical alignment into practice, using the example of planning for counseling support and the ability to distinguish need and purpose of counseling to identify the best resource to support this. From there, Jannelle Kubinec will facilitate an activity illustrating how to operationalize the framework in district and school planning. Participants will walk away from this presentation with a stronger understanding of how MTSS and LCAP can work in tandem to build stronger student-driven planning and budgeting.
