Participants will receive an overview of the Health Education State Standards and highlights from the current draft of the 2019 Health Education Framework, both of which play a critical role in addressing the Whole Child. This session will highlight the link between Social and Emotional Learning Competencies and the Health Education content area of Mental, Social, and Emotional Health. Learning will include how educators can utilize the performance-based health standards to develop the skills of students around practicing healthy behaviors that support college, career, and life readiness.
