JoAnne Lauer is a Director for Research and Implementation in the Assessment, Accountability and Continuous Improvement (AACI) Unit at the Riverside County Office of Education. The AACI unit provides data, assessment, accountability, and technical assistance services to support districts with improving student access and outcomes, particularly for English learners, students who are socioeconomically disadvantaged, students with disabilities, and students from historically underperforming ethnic subgroups. In addition to providing and facilitating research to improve support and services to students, she collaboratively works with team members and districts in developing and providing services and support to school/district leadership as part of a systemic approach. She serves as the LCAP lead for Riverside County Office of Education and host for a California Collaborative for Educational Excellence (CCEE) Professional Learning Network (PLN). She is a member of the EL Roadmap Workgroup and AB 2785 (EL/SWD) Workgroup and previously served as the Region 10 Title III Lead for Riverside, Inyo, Mono, and San Bernardino counties as well as Region 10 representative for California Bilingual Coordinators Network (BCN),
